The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. (limit could vary depending on primary work assignment). (Temporary variance may be accommodated based on employee’s primary assignment.)Ībility to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in various positions including squatting, bending and reaching.
Perform work standing on concrete up to 12 hours a day. Must be adaptable to changing priorities. Position requires zero to two years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing field.Ībility to multi-task with demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Area is to be swept and debris discarded at end of each shift. Working area to be kept free of excessive debris, such as wooden pallets and cardboard boxes. Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified. Scheduling freight pickups, utilizing fastest and most cost effective method for Astec Mobile Screens and customers. Packing of product effectively to insure safe transport and no damage to product. Picking/pulling items to prepare for shipment. Storing and organizing materials at assigned areas. Inspection of incoming freight for potential damage.Ĭompletion and organization of incoming/outgoing shipping documents and packing lists.Īssurance of correct materials received/shipped by matching packing lists, picking tickets, purchase orders, invoices to product.
Load/unload freight trucks and trailers using safest and most effective method. Maintain level of work performance in accordance with Astec Mobile Screens Quality Control Standards and/or job order specifications.Ĭomply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
